NORMALLY FUEL GRADE COKE IS PRODUCED FROM DCUs HAVING FACILITY TO PROCESS HS FEED WITH LOW PRESSURE & LOW RR. HOW WE CAN PRODUCE SPONGE COKE FROM THESE DCUs WITH SULPHUR OF 3-4%?

Yes. It can be produced. The feed quality will need to be lower sulfur (Low grade sponge coke has typically 2%w) and low metals feed with low ash to CCR ratio. The pressure requirement will be 2 to 3 ksc with recycle quantity of around 20% for sponge coke. Hence there may be changes in the fractionator based on operating pressure
